The Maud Powell Signature, Women in Music is an international magazine about women in classical music, past and present. Its readers are professional and amateur musicians, teachers and students, parents and children, librarians, and music lovers of all ages throughout the world. We are happy to accept advertisements which serve to inform and enrich our readers. The Maud Powell Signature is published quarterly online only.

In addition to advertising within the magazine itself, consider becoming a sponsor which enables you to place your company's logo and link, along with a description of your services, on our web site on the Sponsors page for one year.  Sponsorship levels are on the Your Support page of this web site and begin at $500 a year.

Ad placement

All ads are placed within the body of the magazine.  No ads will appear on the inside front cover or on the inside or outside of the back cover. Advertisers may discuss placement preferences with the Editor.

Submission of material

Please check with the Editor or Associate Editor before submitting materials. 

Advance reservation is helpful.

Deadlines:  September 1, December 1, March 1, June 1

Ads can be in color or black and white. Ads must be camera ready.

Send materials directly to the Editor (call 828-884-8500 to verify email address).

Electronic submission is preferred.

File formats:  Preferable file format is PDF.

Data Transmission:  Email or mail 3.5 inch floppy disk or CD-R.

Payment must be received before the ad is processed.

Method of payment

Make payment via check or money order in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank payable to The Maud Powell Society for Music and Education. Otherwise, payment may be submitted via PayPal on this web site. Foreign advertisers may submit payment via PayPal on this web site.

The Maud Powell Society reserves the right to reject or cancel any advertisement that does not meet the Society’s standards, for any reason, at any time.

Cancellations of advertising must be in writing and are not accepted after the closing date. The Maud Powell Society is not responsible for any discrepancies or errors in advertisements supplied by advertisers, agents or agencies.
